Jayaraj Chinta:
Jayaraj was saved and baptized in 1970. He took missionary training course with Indian Evangelical Mission and also underwent linguistics and literacy training (2 programs) with Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) under Wycliffe Bible Translators in England in 1977. He had the privilege of serving among tribal people in India from 1974–1995. In 1995 the Lord gave him a vision to begin Ark Family Ministries.
Kailas Chinta:
Kailas was born and raised in Kenya in a Jain/Hindu family. She received the Lord Jesus as her Savior in 1972 while student at Eastern Illinois University, USA. She studied at Moody Bible Institute for a year in 1976. In 1977 she received the call to serve the Lord in India while taking leadership training with CEF. Upon completing 2 years of internship with CEF of Ohio, she came to India to serve the Lord in March 1980.
Jayaraj and Kailas married in 1982 and been serving the Lord together since then.
Kailas assists Jayaraj in the seminars and is in-charge of all public relations.
Daughter, Karleen was born May 8,1984. Presently she is doing her three-and-half year internship at a Chartered Accounts firm in Secunderabad. In her spare time, she renders help to the children in Ashirvad School, especially in the area of dance and drama.
Son, Arpan was born October 20,1985. He is senior in college studying graphic design. Also having his own business in graphic design and web design. He prepares all the publicity and print works for Ark. He designed Ark’s web sites. He is also involved in helping the Ashirvad School children.
